🍽️ 🎶 Meet Your Local Friend: Melody in NJ, NYC, Boston & Beyond Hi! I’m Melody - a local musician, foodie, and alt girl with a love for sharing my favorite spots in New Jersey, New York City, Boston, MA, and Anna Maria Island, FL --- and a love for being shown neat things around YOUR home, too! My guide style: I’m NOT a traditional tour guide - I won’t rattle off historical facts or plan lots of comprehensive itineraries. Rather, if you’re looking for someone down-to-earth and straight up to show you their regular old day-to-day, along with some favorite local gems, nerdy hangouts, local hole in the wall music venues, scenic drives, and lots of yummy eats, then you’ve found the right girl. If you're the type who likes to make their own plans or itineraries, I can also just follow you around, accompanying you in whatever you feel like doing. Whether seeing all the sights or just chilling around the neighborhood, I'm game! Here's how I can be your local friend: 🍜 I’m a big foodie and love introducing people to my favorite dishes in the area and quirky spots that mean a lot to me (think independent local businesses, vegetarian gems, and greasy American fast food joints). I love eating authentic foods from all over the world, so hopefully you'll get the chance to try a lot of new foods that you haven't before! 🎶 I'm a professional musician and have done a lot of street performing (busking), so I'm a great fit if you like to stop and watch street performances - or if you just enjoy good music, since we can listen together at home or in the car too! I'm also a big listener and would love to hear your stories about life back home, and any culture shock moments you've had so far. 💪 I can offer help with odd jobs like organizing, light errands, line-standing, and other casual support while you travel or work remotely. 🚗 I can drive, provided I happen to have my own car, or if you cover a rental - perfect for long talks on on the road or snack runs! If we can't access a car, we'll need to use public transit, but keep in mind that it can be really inconvenient and time-consuming to use public transit in certain areas. I'm laid-back, friendly, and flexible — think of me as your chill creative local friend who knows what to show you in terms of good eats, good vibes, good friends, and truly authentic experiences - the good and the bad.
