Sunset at Pedra do Arpoador
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Anne Gianes
One of my favorite things to do in Rio is to take an afternoon stroll along the beautiful beaches of Ipanema and Arpoador. There’s nothing quite like sipping fresh coconut water while unwinding and watching the breathtaking sunset. It’s a cherished tradition among the locals, who celebrate the moment the sun dips behind the mountains with applause. I always take my non-local friends there, and they never regret it—they always thank me for sharing such a magical experience with them.

Consejo para viajeros en Puerto Escondido
Puerto Escondido, Mexico
Ernesto
\"If you\'re going out to eat in Puerto Escondido, it\'s a good idea to bring cash, as some places charge a fee for card payments. Also, many restaurants don\'t split the bill, so it\'s better to organize beforehand to avoid confusion with the staff.\"

Biden
Use a mix of walking and short rides to explore different neighborhoods — it’s the best way to truly understand the city. Each area has its own unique vibe, from modern skylines and luxury spots to more traditional districts full of culture and history.
Start your day in places like Downtown Dubai to experience the modern side, then head toward older areas like Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood or Deira where you can walk through traditional streets, visit local markets, and discover authentic food spots.
Short taxi or metro rides (like the Dubai Metro) make it easy to move between these areas without stress.

Collecting Temple Stamps Around Japan

Charlotte
If you’re visiting temples and shrines in Japan, start collecting goshuin; beautiful handwritten (traditional Japanese calligraphy) stamps that make a meaningful and unique souvenir. You’ll need a special stamp book called a goshuinchō, which you can purchase at most temples and shrines, as well as larger stationery stores like Loft and Tokyu Hands.
Some locations even offer limited or seasonal editions, so keep an eye out for special designs you can’t get anywhere else. It’s a peaceful and memorable way to document your travels, it is like a fun game! And you get to see some incredible calligraphy!

Get creative....
Kuta, Indonesia
Charlotte
If you’re in Uluwatu, don’t miss the silver jewelry workshop at The Rolling Fork, it’s such a fun, hands-on experience. You can design and create your own pieces from scratch (I made a ring and a pendant for my necklace), and the instructors guide you through each step so it’s beginner-friendly. If you have a bigger design in mind, you can purchase extra silver on-site to bring your idea to life. It’s a really special way to leave with something personal and meaningful from your trip.
I love making jewelry for myself and as a gift for friends and family so this workshop is a great way to make your own souvenirs with meaning and memories!
