  Palma’s Cathedral is a true classic you just can’t miss, but here’s a little secret: in summer you can actually climb up to the terraces. From up there is simply breathtaking — you can see the sea, the whole city, and even peek at the Rosetón (the large circular stained-glass window on the main façade, also known as the “Gothic Eye”) from behind. Experts from all disciplines take the time to answer your questions - in free guided tours and demonstrations offered daily. Understand with all your senses What is genetic engineering? Why do researchers explore the deep sea? You can find the answers in the Deutsches Museum. Demonstrations, experiments and models invite you to participate and try them out. Founded in 1903, the Deutsches Museum, with its precious collection of valuable objects, is one of the most important technology and science museums in the world. It shows masterpieces of natural science and technology at four locations: in the main building on Museum Island, in the traffic center on Theresienhöhe, in the Schleißheim airship yard and in the German Museum Bonn. Towards new worlds In the major future initiative, the exhibitions on Museum Island will be fundamentally renewed in two sections by 2025 and the building will be brought up to date with the latest technology. During the modernization, at least half of the exhibition space with many highlights remains open. If you wanted to see all areas on this 25000 sqm, you would have to walk 9 km. A visit is always worthwhile.

Visitors can take a break from shopping and enjoy these exciting attractions. The shopping centre also has several restaurants and cafes to cater to different tastes and budgets. Finally, the shopping centre's customer service is top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff available to assist shoppers with any queries they may have. Overall, the Trafford Shopping Centre is the best in the UK to visit for a fantastic shopping experience, an array of exciting attractions, and excellent customer service.

  Many visitors rent bikes around the Kiyomizu-dera area, but this is a big mistake. The streets are extremely steep, packed with tourists, and difficult to ride safely — even for experienced cyclists. Most people end up walking their bikes, feeling frustrated, or struggling with the crowds.
  
  If you want to enjoy Kyoto by bike, start closer to the Kamo River or central Kyoto, where the terrain is flat and the routes are much more enjoyable. Your legs will thank you later!

  The Kamo River cycling path is the safest and most scenic place to ride an e-bike in Kyoto. The route is completely flat, car-free, and surrounded by trees, bridges, and mountain views. You’ll see locals jogging, walking dogs, and relaxing by the river — a real snapshot of everyday Kyoto life.
  
  It’s perfect for families, first-time riders, or anyone wanting a peaceful ride away from traffic. I always include this path in my tours because it captures the natural beauty and calm spirit of Kyoto.

  If you want a perfect photo of Yasaka Pagoda without crowds, skip the famous Ninenzaka–Sannenzaka streets and walk (or bike!) to the back street just west of the pagoda.
  
  Most tourists stay on the main road, so this quiet lane gives you a beautiful, classic Kyoto view with almost no people. It’s one of my favorite stops during my e-bike tours and the perfect spot to capture the soft light of early morning or late afternoon.

  Do not make or take phone calls while on Japanese trains, including the subway and Shinkansen (bullet train). Avoid listening to music loudly or engaging in loud conversations, as absolute silence is expected. This rule honors the Omotenashi culture and respects tired commuters who rely on the quiet carriage time for rest. If you must take an important call on the Shinkansen, move to the small area between the train cars. Otherwise, keep your phone on silent mode and reject all calls until you disembark.
