Singer, songwriter, poet, philosopher, manager, independent culture activist. Leo is one of the most active figures in the cultural scene of Nova Friburgo / RJ in the last ten years. Founder of collaborative collectives, active in cultural politics, director of the Municipal Theater of Nova Friburgo, he was the technical producer of the Sesc Winter Festival in Nova Friburgo three times, was the Technical Analyst of Music of Sesc Nova Friburgo and presented his shows in hundreds of places, with several bands by these last 20 years. He lived in the car for almost a year, performing in the streets, selling CDs and traveling around. He also produced the presentations of hundreds of bands, big and small ones, of diverse styles and origins, in these years of cultural activity.

Born Leonardo, on May 6, 1981, in the city of Niterói / RJ, the first son of a veterinarian and a doctor (both homeopaths), he has 4 younger brothers, grew up in the mountains, walking around and dealing with rural activities. He was baptized in rock and roll and for two decades was the antithesis for a philosophical and poetic motive. He studied at the IFCS-UFRJ and worked as a philosophy teacher in high school for 8 years. Active in the cultural scene since the end of the 1990s, he has been in several large, medium and small productions, performing several functions, from artist to technician, from executive producer to assistant.
Father of a girl, divorced, vegetarian, he lives in an octagonal wooden loft (built largely by himself), among the trees, on a mountain, and drinks spring water. His routine is to be always traveling between cities, going up and down the mountains, having his bases in the cities of Nova Friburgo / RJ and Rio de Janeiro / RJ. With an intense stage performance, theatrical and energetic, poet of strong words, strong personality, interested in alternative constructions, mechanisms, gears, techniques, do it yourself and sustainable forms of energy generation, always cherishing the capacity for development and provision in an independent way, for daily life and for his jobs. He likes to wear old clothes and likes pizza. He hates mandioquinha, but he prepares a stuffed pumpkin that is famous. He gets a bad mood from the time he wakes up until drinking his first coffee, sometimes he talks too much, sometimes he is a hardheaded person, sometimes he is sad. Sometimes he´s the best companion you can have. Like everybody.

He has never believed in institutions, religions, state and movements. Man of strong opinions and curious reasoning, he searches for his thoughts always out of the obvious, believes in the potential of the human being, in the equality of rights and in the temporary autonomous zone. Without definite ideology, he has strong anarchist tendencies. He believes in art as a vector of transformation, but argues that art has its value in itself, and especially because it is completely useless and absolutely essential. Sometimes his self-confidence makes him appear arrogant, and his determination leads him to error, but he is not afraid to change his mind, to apologize, or to forgive himself and try again. He prefers to sin by action than to sin by omission.

He proclaims the valorization of the pirate origin of these hill lands where he made his home, in opposition to the cult dedicated to the aristocratic origin of the barons, constructed by the official history.

He became Viramundo (that means something like "World walker" and "World turner", at the same time) by a deep and indelible love, which he never reveals, determined to transform his own life into an aesthetic construction. He lives his art. And he sings his life.
