More than a simple walk, we seek the sharing of local tips and contents, information that will not be revealed in any travel book or guides and the most importantly thing, the essence of each culture and the local spirit. All of this is done in a spontaneous, genuine, collaborative and interest-based way, allowing people to connect with those who have similarities or characteristics in common, providing a complete immersion in the next destination to be known.

Queijadas da Sapa
A MUST if you ever go to Sintra: ask for a "queijada" and you won't be able to leave without at least a six pack of those! Closed on Mondays. During summertime, it closes at 7pm everyday, and in the winter, it closes at 6pm except on weekends - Saturday and Sunday. -
Belcanto
Chef Jose Avillez is the leading figure in Portugal's new wave of fine gastronomy, internationally recognised for his re-inventions of traditional cuisine. After winning a Michelin star at his last restaurant, this is his major new venture, in the centre of Lisbon. -
Jardi del Turia
The redirecting of the River Turia that ran through Valencia in order to avoid the periodic flooding that the city suffered left an expanse of land, surrounded by the old town and city centre. After a profound urban study an ambitious project produced a fantastic river-bed park with all sorts of facilities for children, sporting activities, ponds, fountains and the wonderful infants’ park. -
Interior de Té
A small tea shop in the cosy neighbourhood of Gracia packed with dozens of huge pots containing different and fine varieties of tea. Run by a couple who travel almost every year to the tea markets of China to get exactly what they want and offer it directly to you. You can buy leaves to enjoy them at home or sit in their tiny tables to have a tea while having their homemade pastries. -
Haus der Kulturen der Welt
This place presents arts from around the globe, with a particular focus on non-European cultures and societies. A cultural hotspot, located in the heart of Berlin, with projects that aim to break through artistic boundaries. Visual and performing arts, music, literature, film, academic discussions and digital media are brought together in an interdisciplinary program otherwise unique in Europe. -
Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval
Olga Cadaval is a cultural centre with various showrooms where you can find different types of shows, from music to theater, dance and even stand-up comedy from time to time. On top of that, it's an historical building in Sintra right next to the Museum of Modern Art. Price depends on the shows. -
Palm Club
Palm Club is the new point in João Pessoa. By the seaside, the bar has a cosmopolitan ambient, with bright lights and wonderful retro music. That bar is headed by Zagma Maga, and her waitresses are very funny. When you there ask for their Pina Colada and a traditional Texan Hamburger. Don't worry: you can talk in English all the time, because the most people there speak it fluently. -
Parade of the three Wise Men
In Spain, one of the biggest events of the holiday season is the arrival parade of the Three Wise Men. There is a long tradition for having the children receive presents by the three \"Reyes Magos\" on the night of January 5 (Epiphany Eve) or morning of January 6. Almost every Spanish city or town organises cabalgatas in the evening, in which the kings and their servants parade and throw sweets to the children (and parents) in attendance. Madrid organizes the biggest parade of all, with different floats and and artistic performers, broadcasted nationally on TV. -
The DDR Museum (GDR- Englisch)
The DDR Museum is an unique and specific museum and one of the most-visited museums in Berlin. Specific because of three main reasons. 1. The topicThe DDR Museum is the only museum which concentrates on everyday life in the GDR. We don't only show the crimes of the State Security or the border defences at the Berlin Wall but we display the life of the people in the dictatorship: Maybe you know the spreewald pickles, nudism beaches and the Trabi - the rest of the life in this socialist state is unfamiliar to most of the people in the world. 2. The conceptA hands-on experience of history - the DDR Museum is not an exhibition to regard, but the visitor has to take part, to handle the exhibits and to look behind drawers and doors. For this reason we are one of the most interactive museums in the world - not the least point which nominated us for the European Museum of the Year Award 2008. 3. The institutionThe DDR Museum is privately financed to one hundred percent. We don't spend one cent of public money and achieve no aid money. We finance probably as the only museum in Germany to one hundred percent from the entrance fees of the visitor. Visitor orientation is not only a headword, but the guideline for our work. Thereby the DDR Museum has become one of the most visited museums in Berlin only one year after the opening. -
Tresor Club
Tresor (German for safe or vault) is an underground techno nightclub and record label. The club was founded in March 1991 in the vaults of the former old Wertheim department store in Mitte, the central part of the former East Berlin, next to the famous Potsdamer Platz, however the history of the club goes back to 1988 when the electronic music label Interfisch opened the Ufo Club in Berlin. Ufo was the original centre of Berlin house and techno, but due to financial problems that club closed in 1990. After Ufo closed, Interfisch's head, Dimitri Hegemann and some investors in the club found the new space in East Berlin. This was advantageous timing, as it was only a few months before Germany unified. The vaults under the Wertheim department store proved to be the perfect location for a club, and Tresor quickly became the place to be in Berlin. Tresor continued to be a popular club to this day, having expanded and reconstructed continuously several times to include an outdoor garden area, and a second \"Globus\" floor. The concept for the Tresor floor in the basement was specifically hard techno, industrial and acid music while Globus was featuring mainly more mellow house sound. The recordlabel Tresor Records was founded soon after the club first opened, in October 1991. Featured artists on the label include Jeff Mills, Blake Baxter, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Stewart Walker, Joey Beltram, DJ Surgeon, Pacou, Cristian Vogel, House of Fix and many others. In 2004 the documentary \"Tresor Berlin: The Vault & the Electronic Frontier\" was released. Directed by Mike Andrawis, it features interviews with Hegemann, Carola Stoiber, and DJs & artists associated with the club & label.[1] The film covers the period from Hegemann's involvement with the Fishladen and UFO clubs in Berlin-Kreuzberg to the final months prior to Tresor's closure. Tresor closed on the 16th April, 2005, after several years prolonged short-term rent. The city sold the land to an investor group to build offices on the Leipziger Straße location. It was open for each night of April 2005, with the final event starting the Saturday night with queues stretching all the way down the road, and still going Monday morning. Tresor reopened on 24 May 2007 in a renovated power plant on Köpenicker Straße in Mitte. -
Museum Het Schip

Insert at the university level, MUAC promotes interdisciplinary work, but also seeks his presence in the national and international museum scene. With a dynamic program of art exhibitions comprising national and international visual artists, sound art, performance actions, visual, kinetic and performing arts, MUAC builds a prime space for the appreciation and enjoyment of contemporary art forms. -
Zinco Jazz Club
A small cozy place that shows us a different side of the city. One of the few places with different offers: great live performances and a menu with great options! -
Pulqueria Los Duelistas
This pulcata has been revitalized by young people, who have painted walls with pre-Hispanic motifs, making it now look quaint. It is also sometimes taken by the underground punk scene and rockabilly, to make music and alternate with the obligatory jukebox. The "el curado" style is very rich and, as is tradition, its fruity flavors change depending on the day, like the snack canteen. -
Pastelaria Gregório
A "must" on traditional pastry. Different types of things to try, amongst other classic Portuguese traditional bites. -
Piriquita
Inside there's one of the best things you'll ever taste in your life: called "travesseiro". As we say in Portugal, "é a prata da casa" - something like "it's the house's silver", wich means the best there is about that place. Situated on the old side of Sintra, the historic centre where the palaces and castles are at your doorstep. A must if you're visiting Sintra, or the surroundings :) -
Bar da Dona Onça
Don’t be misled by the ‘bar’ in the name – this classic Centro destination is as much restaurant as watering hole, and its extensive menu, including pasta and meat dishes, draws crowds for both lunch and dinner. Do not miss! -
Finca Loreto-Family owned traditional Mexican restaurant
La Finca Loreto is one of the best "fondas" in Mexico City. A "fonda" is an informal, small and usually family owned restaurant that serves traditional home-made Mexican food in a series of fixed 4 or 5 courses. It includes soups, salad, main course, dessert, bread or tortilla, and fresh fruit water. La Finca is located in a very interesting spot of Downtown Mexico City. Loreto Square is surrounded by two very old churches, one Neoclassical (my favorite) and the other, New Spain Colonial, and by two synagogues, one Sefardi and the other, Ashkenazi. The fountain and the Neoclassical church are masterpieces of Manuel Tolsá, the most important architect of the late colonial period. Although small, La Finca Loreto is quite a cozy place. With its colorful decorated interiors and friendly staff, it is a great place to recover energy after an intense visit to the vibrant nearby Merced market and neighborhood. My favorite dish is "enchiladas de mole", an only-Mexican recipe that is very well prepared at La Finca Loreto. If "mole" is not your thing, you can try "enchiladas rojas". La Finca Loreto is your best option if you are looking for great local taste at a really fair price in a traditional and friendly place. -
Al Andalus
The Lebanese immigrants in Mexico have become a central part our society. For many Mexicans, Lebanese food is not considered exotic or outlandish, it has a special place in our national culinary tradition and is cherished by most of us. In fact, I may say that it's my favorite cuisine, and Al Andalus, my favorite place to eat it. The restaurant is conveniently located in La Merced neighborhood, where Lebanese, Syrian, and Jewish immigrants arrived in the first years of the 20th century and contributed to the strong trade tradition that still makes this area one of the most interesting in the City. In the colonial hall of Al Andalus you will always find Lebanese families before a table covered with dozens of plates with hummus, taboule, keppe, and so on, or men talking business while sipping on their hot turkish coffee or fresh arak. The quality is unbeatable among all the Lebanese restaurants in the City (and perhaps among some I've been in the Middle East). From the spearmint lassi, to the coffee and arab sweets, whatever you order will be a delight to your palate. My favorites are raw keppe, "hojas de parra" (dawali), taboule, falafel, lamb shawarma, and the sweets. If you don't mind people smoking while you are eating, try to get a table at the balcony (the smoking area), it is a very refreshing spot. -
"Chile relleno" and more at Roldán 37
Roldán 37 is a hidden jewel in one of the oldest and most traditional neighborhoods in the city: La Merced. Since the Aztec times, this area has been the commercial Mecca of the Country. Today, although a bigger commerce center has been built in the South of the city, La Merced is still a reference for retail trade. Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the Country come here everyday to buy or sell their goods. Mexico's culinary diversity is present in every stand one passes by. Fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices with enthralling scents, and savory sauces are just some of the pleasures of visiting this great market. Roldán 37 is located in what used to be the house and storehouse of a pepper merchant of the 19th. Today, his descendants, the Fragoso family, have opened a restaurant that has pepper as the main ingredient of most of its dishes. Here you will be able to taste delicious traditional, and also new, recipes cooked with the many of Mexican "chiles": "poblanos", "chilacas", "serranos", "jalapeños", "cuaresmeños", etc. Yo can even have your tequila served in a "medio chile" (half pepper) which gives it a smoothly hot aftertaste. -

Saving Money in Paris
Paris has a lot of museums and some of them are unmissable. However, to visit all can be really expensive, but there is a way to save money and enjoy some of the best options of Paris and region.
Abraços e bem vindo a Paris -
Paulista avenue
Paulista avenue today almost didn't remember the aristocracy residential adress it was 100 years ago, but still is a place to see and to be seen. From the time it was a city home for the cofee barons only remained 3 buildings, and now is more democratic that it was a century ago. In its almost 2km lenght, it has the some of the principal museums, 2 green areas, 2 shopping malls and many, many stores, including the biggest brazilian fast fashion brands, which stores in this adress are really big. On Christmas, a beautiful decoration usually takes place, in New Year's Eve a big concert with a 15 minutes firework show celebrates every 31st december the year to come and every sunday, the day closed for (heavy) traffic, many people come and walk in the middle of the street. The best days to visit Paulista avenue is on Sunday and Tuesday, when the museus is free entrance. There is a huge concentration of hotels and restaurants in the surroundings. When you get here, is good to have some cash, because Paulista avenue and the region itself is still a noble adress and the atractions might not be cheap (at least for me).
Write about your own experiences guiding as a Local Friend. You can write these on your own voice, relating the unique experiences you were able to give who was traveling with you. Example: "Last week, I guided a traveler from Spain who wanted to experience the city beyond the main attractions. We started with a quiet morning at a small coffee shop only locals know, then wandered through a street art alley where I could share the stories behind each mural. They told me it was their favorite part of the trip because it felt like discovering a secret side of the city, one they would have never found alone."
