Let’s go on an adventure.

We can go sight seeing, beaches, rivers, land marks, I love doing tours out to Hana, and the side, the rental car companies don’t want you to go. Special events and sights off the beaten path.

    Snorkeling experiences on a buget

There is no doubt that Maui offers some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I am sure you have considered taking a chartered snorkeling trip with one of the big boat companies. While the opportunity to take amazing pictures is there with meals included to the more remote spots, the price range can leave you wanting. Do not fret, Maui is home to some of the best snorkeling in the world and you don\'t need a boat charter to take you there. I simply recommend stopping by a snorkel bobs or any snorkel/dive shop and getting your own gear. A favorite spot to take kids and beginners is Ahihi cove. There are plenty more spots before and past Ahihi but, this is perfect for beginners and young children. It is rich with ocean life and blocked from rough water and waves. Also, you might want to ask the local dive shop where might be some good locations that day if the weather or ocean is rough.

    Best Poke IMHO

No doubt you’re in Hawaii and want to try actual Hawaiian Poke. There are soo many places to choose from now days. One of the local favorites in Kihei is Tamuras. Regular sashimi or shoyu too bland? They got you covered and offers some of the best selection and flavors to choose from. A definite local spot you want to experience.

Tell us, how was your experience with this friend.

Write about your own experiences guiding as a Local Friend. You can write these on your own voice, relating the unique experiences you were able to give who was traveling with you. Example: "Last week, I guided a traveler from Spain who wanted to experience the city beyond the main attractions. We started with a quiet morning at a small coffee shop only locals know, then wandered through a street art alley where I could share the stories behind each mural. They told me it was their favorite part of the trip because it felt like discovering a secret side of the city, one they would have never found alone."
