    Museu do Metro de Recife

The metro station of Estação Capiba reopened its doors as a cultural centre in the neighborhood of São José, downtown Recife. The TRain Museum has over 500 pieces in their exhibitions and it's a very cool place to get out of the off beaten touristic track.

    Instituto Ricardo Brennand

The Instituto Ricardo Brennand is a local cultural institution based in Recife and featuring a collection of the local artist Ricardo Brennand. Resembling a castle, the place is one of the most special spots to visit once you're in town!

    UK Pub

UK Pub is one of Recife's most traditional pucs, a classic in the south area of town. Launched in 2005 and hosting different music projects since then, featuring mostly samba, pagode and funk. But its hors-concours is still classic rock.

    ORQUESTRA DAS PÁS

Opened 125 anos ago in Recife, it's known for their music presentations and it's wide space to dance. Besides that, they also have great drinks and snacks, like Camarão empanado and Cheese cubes.

    MEU FORRÓ

Sociedade dos Forrozeiros Pé de Serra (Society of people who dance Forró, a typical Brazilian music). The idea of this place is to preserve the roots of this traditional type of music and welcome new talents. A very special place to learn more about local culture!

Write about your own experiences guiding as a Local Friend. You can write these on your own voice, relating the unique experiences you were able to give who was traveling with you. Example: "Last week, I guided a traveler from Spain who wanted to experience the city beyond the main attractions. We started with a quiet morning at a small coffee shop only locals know, then wandered through a street art alley where I could share the stories behind each mural. They told me it was their favorite part of the trip because it felt like discovering a secret side of the city, one they would have never found alone."
