About me
I am Rahinat, an adventurous young lady from Nigeria who is always seeking new thrills and excitement. Born with an insatiable curiosity, I have an undying love for horror, cartoon, comedy, and action movies. I find joy in exploring the worlds of these diverse genres, immersing myself in gripping narratives and imaginative storytelling.
But my passion for exploration extends far beyond the confines of the silver screen. I consider myself to be a true wanderlust at heart and I find solace in traveling to new destinations, immersing myself in different cultures, and discovering hidden gems around the globe. I embrace each adventure with an open mind and an eager spirit.
In addition to my cinematic and travel pursuits, I possess a strong fascination with martial arts ( Taekwondo). I believe in the power of discipline, physical strength, and mental agility that martial arts instills. I have dedicated myself to the study of various forms, such as Taeguek ll Jang, Taegeuk Ee Jang and Sam Jang . With each training session, i have manage to hone my skills and develops a deeper understanding of self-defense and personal growth.
I would say i have a dynamic personality that is a reflection of my diverse interests and the desire to push boundaries. I enjoy embracing the unknown, whether it's seeking out spine-tingling horror movies, indulging in laughter-inducing comedies, or immersing myself in the action-packed world of martial arts. With an adventurous spirit and a love for all things captivating, I am always ready to embark on my next thrilling journey.
One of my favorite places in Abuja is the Aso Rock, a magnificent geological formation that stands as an iconic symbol of Nigeria's power and beauty. This massive rock holds not only geological significance but also historical and cultural importance. I find solace in the peaceful ambiance around Aso Rock, often taking long walks or sitting atop its perch to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. My Mum and Aunt never missed a weekend taking my Siblings and I to go see the wonders of Aso Rock as a kid.
Another place close to my heart is the Millennium Park, a vast green oasis nestled in the heart of Abuja. With its lush landscapes, serene water bodies, and vibrant flora, the park offers a peaceful sanctuary away from the bustling city life. I enjoy spending leisurely afternoons strolling along the park's winding paths, indulging in picnics with friends and family, or simply finding a quiet spot to read a book.
For a taste of Abuja's cultural heritage, I love to visit the Nigerian National Mosque. This architectural marvel showcases the rich Islamic traditions and serves as a center of worship and spiritual reflection. I admire the intricate design of the mosque and often participate in the peaceful prayers, fostering a sense of unity and tranquility within myself.
When I seek a more vibrant and lively atmosphere, I head to the Abuja Arts and Crafts Village. This bustling marketplace is a haven for art enthusiasts, showcasing a diverse array of traditional Nigerian crafts, sculptures, paintings, and textiles. I also enjoy immersing myself in the vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and rich cultural heritage of the local artisans. I often purchase unique handcrafted souvenirs to support the local community and remind myself of the beauty of Nigerian artistry.
My adventurous spirit also lead me to explore the stunning natural surroundings of Abuja. I enjoy visiting the nearby Gurara Falls, a breathtaking cascade of water that plunges into a tranquil pool below. The cascading water and lush greenery offer a picturesque backdrop for my escapades, and I often take the opportunity to swim or have a picnic with my then boyfriend George in the refreshing natural setting.
I embrace the diversity and beauty of my town Abuja. From the serene Aso Rock to the vibrant Abuja Arts and Crafts Village, and the cultural significance of the Nigerian National Mosque, I find joy in exploring the city's historical, natural, and cultural treasures. My love for Abuja shines through my adventures and my commitment to preserving and appreciating its unique charm.
