About me

Hey there! My name is Gabi and I would love to be your local guide. I am a young adult, who studies advertising in college and lives in a beautiful city called Balneário Camboriú (which is about an hour away from Florianópolis). I lived in the USA for about ten years, so I'd have an easy time communicating with you in english and being the most helpful I can be.

I am also a blogger, and on my blog I write about all the things that interest me, like independent movies, underground music, fun apps, and more (here's the link if you'd like to check it out: www.infectedbyculture.com ).

    Baja California Bar

A really fun place to eat out. Lots of options on their menu (including vegetarian ones), and the prices aren't bad either. It is known as the best Mexican restaurant here in Balneário Camboriú! On the weekend there's live music and happy hour during the week. A great place to go at night, definitely a "must".

Tell us, how was your experience with this friend.

Write about your own experiences guiding as a Local Friend. You can write these on your own voice, relating the unique experiences you were able to give who was traveling with you. Example: "Last week, I guided a traveler from Spain who wanted to experience the city beyond the main attractions. We started with a quiet morning at a small coffee shop only locals know, then wandered through a street art alley where I could share the stories behind each mural. They told me it was their favorite part of the trip because it felt like discovering a secret side of the city, one they would have never found alone."
