Cotton stands knee-high around Fatehabad by the monsoon, and in winter the same flat plain wakes up cold and clear. Cool months suit outings between the Lat of Firoz Shah, Humayun's small brick mosque and the Harappan mounds of Banawali and Bhirrana, while June heat pushes plans into early mornings.
Beyond the monuments, Fatehabad is a market town on NH 9 where Haryanvi, Punjabi and Bagri mix in the bazaar, still proud of its nickname, the Pink City of Haryana. Summers are fierce, rain comes from July to September, and winter nights near freezing. A Local Friend keeps the plan loose, so a hot afternoon can become a long lunch or one more dig site.
