You step into a narrow workshop in Ambala Cantt, and every shelf glints with glass flasks, beakers and test tubes for school science labs. Outside, a cycle rickshaw squeezes past a bus headed for Ambala City, where cloth-market traders unroll saris and silks for wedding shoppers.
Beyond the bazaars, the village gurdwara at Panjokhra keeps a sacred pool and a busy Sunday langar, and the dhaba by the Cantt bus stand still pulls travelers in for mutton curry. Summers are fierce, the monsoon soaks July to September, and winters turn properly cold. When the plan runs out, a Local Friend already has the next stop in mind, maybe a quiet shrine, maybe a second plate of curry.
