E-rickshaws wait in a row outside Hapur Junction, where the line from Delhi to Moradabad crosses the one from Meerut to Khurja. Trains for Lucknow, Amritsar and Varanasi pull in, buses roll down the highway toward Delhi, and the town's papads travel out by the sackful to kitchens across India.
Beyond the station, neighboring Pilkhuwa keeps its looms busy with home textiles, and the Ganga at Brijghat draws pilgrims down to its ghats. Summers are fierce, the monsoon soaks July and August, and winters turn mild and dry. A Local Friend keeps the plan loose, so a quick market stop can stretch into an afternoon by the river when the day feels right.
