Located just across from the Jerónimos Monastery, this is one of Lisbon’s most beautiful gardens. Created in the early 20th century for the study of botanical species from the former Portuguese colonies, the garden is home to a rich collection of tropical and subtropical plants brought from Africa, Asia, and South America.
It’s a peaceful oasis right in the heart of Belém’s busy tourist area — perfect for a quiet stroll or a moment of rest amid the city’s vibrant energy.
