"Wayan was absolutely wonderful during our trip to Bali. He had been recommended by a friend of mine in Vancouver. When I arrived in Bali I was on my own and a little nervous as I tend to get lost easily. Wayan was the perfect driver and tour guide and became a friend. He grew up in Ubud and knows everything about the area. I learned so much about the local culture. He was sweet, kind and thoughtful. The driving can be a bit crazy there but I never worried. He is a careful and excellent driver. His English is really good and he always had a big smile on his face. He took us to meet his wonderful family and allowed us to take part in a temple ceremony at his home. In addition to taking us on longer trips he would also drive me from place to place within Ubud by car or motorcycle. He took all my laundry to his uncle to have it done. It came back perfectly done and the charge was much less than if the hotel had done it. I can't say enough about this wonderful man. "

"Wayan Arjana is a part of the reason I love Bali so much. Not only is he a knowledgeable guide, but also he's very adept at anticipating needs and catering to your interests. I met Arjana through his uncle (our guide-driver and friend). And although I didn't use his services per se, he became a good friend. He is not only fun to be with, but he lives and breathes the Bali spirit- the warmth, hospitality, the devotion to his land, the people, and his family. He helped me on a number of occasions, whether it be driving me around to check out real estate to answering immigration questions (regarding visa extension). He's a super resourceful and sensitive guy, with a big welcoming smile. No request would seem to be too big or small for him. I recommend him wholeheartedly as a local friend!
