Downtown (City Market and local stores and restaurants) is not a good option for the weekend: almost all stores, the City Market and restaurants are closed and there isn´t much to do. If you intend to go there, better go on weekdays. Saturday morning you are still find places open, but after 2.p.m. everything is closed.

One of the best places to get to know the culture of the city. In the heart of downtown, at the Public Market you can buy food, vegetables and all sorts of fresh seafood. There are more than 15 restaurants, all serving seafood. The architecture is beautiful and walking around you can get to know some pieces of art in small stores, souveniers and trinkets. There are also many local fashion stores.

The best beach for a sea bath os swimming, since this one of the warmest waters of the island. At this beach you can rent an umbrella and a chair, as well as find yourself some drinks by the sea. Just make sure you have your sunscreen and be careful with the sun after 10 am and before 4 pm.

Great place to go when the sun is shining. Sun i friendly before 10 am and after 4 pm. Make sure you bring an umbrella, sunscreen and a pic nic towel. Maybe some snacks. Enjoy the energy, watch people surf, make friends or just relax!

You will find a small beach at one side and great mister and seafood restaurants at the other. All of these, inside a small portuguese village. There are also small art galleries and a small fair on sundays where you can find cool souvenires.

Campeche Island is really a beautiful place! But you have to be aware the island has few restaurant optios, prices can be a little prohibitive, you pay a significant amount to go there by boat and the island has a maximum number of visitors per day. If you don't want to spent so much money with food, take your own snack and enjoy the magnificent views and the clear water!
