About me

Hi! I'm Lauren
I live in Calgary, but frequently find myself in Vancouver as well after having lived there for over a decade. I love both cities and call them both home.

I adore trying new restaurants (though I will never abandon my favourite go-to's) and seeing live music. I know a lot of "hidden gem" venues and neat corners of the city and love bringing new people to experience the unique places and people one can find with some digging.

I also know both cities like the back of my hand and can easily hit the major sights and sounds that every new local or visitor should see.

I am full of tips and tricks too, if looking to plan your own adventure.

Happy to curate an experience based on what YOU are interested in! Welcome to town

Tell us, how was your experience with this friend.

Write about your own experiences guiding as a Local Friend. You can write these on your own voice, relating the unique experiences you were able to give who was traveling with you. Example: "Last week, I guided a traveler from Spain who wanted to experience the city beyond the main attractions. We started with a quiet morning at a small coffee shop only locals know, then wandered through a street art alley where I could share the stories behind each mural. They told me it was their favorite part of the trip because it felt like discovering a secret side of the city, one they would have never found alone."
