Entry is free daily 8 AM–7 PM. Park 2WD cars on the bitumen lot; never drive standard cars on the sand tracks or you will get stuck. Cardboard or boogie boards won't slide on the sand—hire properly waxed wooden sandboards locally in town for $10/hour. Bring polarized sunglasses and a face cover for protection against the intense white glare and whipped up wind. Keep a sharp eye out for 4WDs, ATVs, and dirt bikes coming over dune crests.
