      Texas Renaissance Festival

        Bee 🐝

It’s a large outdoor festival where people recreate life during the European Renaissance (around the 1500s). Think of it as a mix of history, theater, and a carnival—all happening at once.
You can devour all types of great food such as giant turkey legs!

There's so many things to do and see like watching jousting tournaments (knights on horseback competing with lances)
Shop for handmade items like jewelry, leather goods, and costumes
Play games and interact with performers who stay in character! And, you can dress up, too!
I go every year and I always have a great time!
The festival takes place every year in late October until the end of December.

Space Center Houston is NOT close to downtown.
      It’s about 45–60 min away.

      Many travelers assume it’s quick — it’s a half-day commitment.
      Plan transportation in advance.

Skip Downtown. Explore the bayou instead.

Many first-timers go straight to downtown, but locals head to the bayou parks.
Walk, bike, or just watch the skyline at sunset.

It’s one of the few places where Houston actually feels walkable.
Perfect for golden hour, picnics, and skyline views.

      Think in neighborhoods

        Community RALF

Houston doesn’t really have one central area to explore.
Each neighborhood has its own vibe:

      • Montrose - artsy & walkable
      • The Heights - cafes & boutiques
      • Midtown - nightlife
      • Museum District - culture
