Understand with all your senses What is genetic engineering? Why do researchers explore the deep sea? You can find the answers in the Deutsches Museum. Demonstrations, experiments and models invite you to participate and try them out.
Founded in 1903, the Deutsches Museum, with its precious collection of valuable objects, is one of the most important technology and science museums in the world. It shows masterpieces of natural science and technology at four locations: in the main building on Museum Island, in the traffic center on Theresienhöhe, in the Schleißheim airship yard and in the German Museum Bonn.
Towards new worlds In the major future initiative, the exhibitions on Museum Island will be fundamentally renewed in two sections by 2025 and the building will be brought up to date with the latest technology. During the modernization, at least half of the exhibition space with many highlights remains open. If you wanted to see all areas on this 25000 sqm, you would have to walk 9 km. A visit is always worthwhile.

Sunset at Pedra do Arpoador
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Anne Gianes
One of my favorite things to do in Rio is to take an afternoon stroll along the beautiful beaches of Ipanema and Arpoador. There’s nothing quite like sipping fresh coconut water while unwinding and watching the breathtaking sunset. It’s a cherished tradition among the locals, who celebrate the moment the sun dips behind the mountains with applause. I always take my non-local friends there, and they never regret it—they always thank me for sharing such a magical experience with them.

The Maasai are a semi-nomadic people who live in close harmony with nature, often sharing their surroundings with wild animals. On this tour, you’ll visit a traditional Maasai village (manyatta) and learn about their daily life, cattle herding, and sustainable practices.
Experience the famous Maasai dances and songs, including the warrior’s “jumping dance” (Adumu), and see how their homes are built from natural materials like mud, sticks, and cow-dung. You’ll also get a chance to observe or try traditional crafts, such as beadwork or fire-making, and gain insight into their rich cultural heritage.
This visit is not only educational and immersive but also supports the local community, as many tours contribute directly to village initiatives. Remember to respect local customs, ask before taking photos, and enjoy this authentic encounter with one of Africa’s most iconic cultures.

Havana at Golden Hour: A Rooftop View Worth Experiencing
Havana, Cuba
Goddess Kane
There are cities you explore at street level, and then there are cities you should experience from above. Havana deserves both.
A rooftop overlooking the historic heart of Havana offers an entirely different perspective of the city. At golden hour, the architecture takes on warm amber tones, the skyline begins to glow, and landmarks such as El Capitolio become part of an extraordinary panoramic backdrop.
After more than two decades evaluating hospitality, destinations, service, and guest experiences as a professional mystery shopper, I pay close attention to atmosphere. A beautiful view alone is not enough. The setting, timing, comfort, service, and overall sense of place determine whether an experience is truly worth recommending.
Experiencing Havana from a rooftop around sunset delivers something special. It is elegant without losing the unmistakable character of the city.
Bespoke Concierge Tip: Plan your rooftop visit shortly before sunset rather than arriving after dark. You get to experience Havana in daylight, watch the city transform during golden hour, and remain as the evening lights begin to appear. Dress beautifully, make reservations when available, and give yourself enough time to actually enjoy the view rather than treating it as a quick photo stop.
For travelers who appreciate architecture, culture, beautiful views, photography, and elevated experiences, seeing Havana from above deserves a place on the itinerary.

Rodeo Drive: The Art of Luxury in Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills, United States
Goddess Kane
Rodeo Drive | Beverly Hills, California
Rodeo Drive is one of those destinations where the experience begins before you ever enter a boutique.
Having spent more than two decades professionally evaluating businesses, hospitality, service, and guest experiences as a mystery shopper, I tend to notice the details that shape how a destination actually feels. Rodeo Drive delivers an experience built around presentation, atmosphere, architecture, luxury retail, and polished service.
Yes, this is a destination for exceptional shopping, but you do not need to arrive with a shopping list to appreciate it.
Take your time walking the district. Explore the boutiques, admire the window displays, enjoy the architecture, people-watch, and allow yourself to experience Beverly Hills without rushing from one location to another. The area is also beautifully suited for photography, particularly when you dress for the occasion.
Bespoke Concierge Tip: Treat Rodeo Drive as an experience rather than a shopping errand. Dress elegantly but comfortably, make reservations in advance if dining is part of your itinerary, and leave room in your schedule to explore the surrounding Beverly Hills area. For a softer atmosphere and beautiful photographs, I prefer visiting when the California light begins to warm later in the day.
For travelers who appreciate fashion, luxury, architecture, exceptional presentation, and iconic destinations, a thoughtfully planned afternoon on Rodeo Drive deserves a place on the Beverly Hills itinerary.

Jakob Two Trees: An Enchanting Art Discovery in Issaquah
Issaquah, United States
Goddess Kane
There is something particularly memorable about discovering monumental art where you least expect it.
Jakob Two Trees, created by internationally recognized Danish artist Thomas Dambo, is tucked into the wooded landscape along the Rainier Trail in Issaquah. Standing beneath him gives you an entirely different appreciation for his scale, craftsmanship, and the remarkable use of reclaimed materials.
Having spent more than two decades evaluating destinations, businesses, hospitality, and guest experiences as a professional mystery shopper, I pay attention to more than whether a location photographs well. I consider the setting, ease of incorporating it into an itinerary, overall visitor experience, and whether I would confidently recommend the stop to someone exploring the area.
Jakob earns that recommendation.
One of my favorite details is the collection of colorful birdhouses incorporated into his design. Against the natural greens and rich woods of the surrounding forest, they give the sculpture personality without taking away from the landscape.
Bespoke Concierge Tip: This is best enjoyed as part of an unhurried Issaquah outing. Wear comfortable shoes suitable for a wooded trail, allow time for photographs, and take a moment to appreciate the smaller artistic details once you arrive. Washington\'s changing weather can affect trail conditions, so dress accordingly.
For travelers who enjoy public art, nature, photography, and finding experiences beyond the usual tourist itinerary, Jakob Two Trees is a delightful Pacific Northwest discovery.

Oscar the Bird King: A Hidden Art Experience on Vashon Island
Vashon, United States
Goddess Kane
Oscar the Bird King | Point Robinson Park, Vashon Island
After more than two decades of evaluating destinations, hospitality, service, and guest experiences through the lens of professional mystery shopping, I have learned that the most memorable places are not always the most obvious ones.
Oscar the Bird King is one of those discoveries.
Tucked into the natural landscape of Point Robinson Park on Vashon Island, this extraordinary wooden troll by Danish artist Thomas Dambo feels less like a traditional attraction and more like stumbling upon a piece of folklore in the forest.
The scale is impressive, but the setting is what elevates the experience. Weathered wood, towering trees, quiet surroundings, and Oscar\'s intricate craftsmanship create a setting that photographs beautifully without feeling overly staged or commercialized.
From a visitor-experience perspective, I appreciated that this is an attraction you can incorporate into a larger Vashon Island itinerary. I would not rush the visit. Take your photographs, notice the craftsmanship, touch Oscar\'s outstretched finger, then give yourself time to explore Point Robinson Park and the surrounding island.
Bespoke Concierge Tip: Make Oscar one stop within a thoughtfully planned Vashon day experience. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, particularly during Washington\'s wetter months, and layered clothing is wise as island weather can shift quickly.
For travelers who appreciate art, nature, unusual destinations, and experiences that feel distinctly Pacific Northwest, Oscar the Bird King is worth adding to your Vashon Island itinerary.

Monserrate for breakfast
Bogotá D.C., Colombia
Rafael Fajardo
The best way to enjoy one of the most breathtaking views of Bogotá is to make your way to the top of the mountain. And honestly, it’s not as hard as it sounds! If you’re into exercise and enjoy an early-morning walk, we could definitely add this to our plans and enjoy the experience together. It’s all about breathing and taking the time to enjoy the sights that nature brings us. But if you feel like getting competitive, I’ll bet breakfast on whoever reaches the top of the mountain first. 😉

Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

Don\'t trust the coast sellers, they are most likely scammers, and they act offering \'free\' oysters or clams as a welcome gift or samples, but after you eat them, they aggressively demand between $10 and $50 USD per bite.
