Market plaza of the most fresh and delicious fruits and flowers mainly - but you can also find craftsmanships, food, cookware sold directly from their producers. You can also see and taste vegetables you might not know and drink delicious natural juices made right there in front of you, and watch some of the Colombia's countryside people.

Like most flea markets around the world, craftsmans and entrepeneurs meet here to sell things you would only find there: from food and exotic fruits to clothes, art, antiques... The market at this part of the city is the "high class" one, so the prices won't be cheap - but not expensive either. As you walk around, you'll see street musicians, vendors, storytellers etc, so it's all an experience.
In its three floors there is a permanent exhibition that up to now consists of 2,900 bottles of this liquor, which accredits it as the largest collection outside of Mexico. The restaurant has adequate rooms to offer an excellent service equipped with bar and kitchen, the decoration is clearly Mexican and the staff is always ready to collaborate and give you the best of the site.
You can not miss this place when you visit Bogota; you can eat delicious, dance, enjoy different shows and more. The food has an artistic presentation and the mixture of flavors is delicious. As it is always busy, the service may take some time, but it's worth waiting for it.
Everybody talks about "Andrés Carne de Res" to eat and party; but this is another great place to eat typical Colombian north coast food and party with live good music - and is not that known to tourists, but I can assure you will have lots of fun. Bad thing is that is hard to get in, you need a long time reservation and, regarding prices, is pretty much like "Andrés".
Exclusive area where you can find Colombian expensive designers like Silvia Tcherassi, Lina Cantillo, Jhoana Ortiz, Bettina Spitz among the international ones (Dolce and Gabana, Ferragamo, Armani, etc); high class malls and some chic restaurants and bars (like Andrés Carne de Res). But not everything is expensive around here, you can also find fast food and, retail chain clothing brands also.
If you are curious about sexual love but want to explore it in an artistic way, the Museum of American Erotic Art (MaReA) is the ideal place. It is the first museum of erotic art founded in America, in which you can appreciate real and virtual exhibitions and participate in workshops and forums.
The entrance to a large house in a lush grove is beautiful. Its interior is decorated in wood, and is elegant. The tables were well served by a staff willing to cooperate without being intrusive. We tried the grilled salmon, with its exquisite sauce, rice with almonds and finally creme bruleé. Excellent experience.
I remembered the taste of this place and I tried this time the risotto three cheeses and it always surprises me its texture and its exquisite flavor. I like that they do not skimp on anything to make their pastas and sauces. The best kept secret of this place is the balsamic .... the best I've ever had and it's made by them ... so I give it higher value for this.
Since the carrera 7, from the "Plaza de Bolívar" to the 24 street is pedestrian, street vendors take advantage to offer all kind of stuff and it becomes a kind of a street carnival with musicians, storytellers, hand made mini Roller coasters, etc. I'll advise visitors to NOT got by yourselves because vendors will charge you more for whatever you like and also it can be a not so safe area.
"If you had the opportunity to see the documentary 'Colombia Magia Salvaje', you will not only have realized that the capital is the protagonist of the country's natural wealth, but that it is fortunate also by the pure water that get to us through these ecosytems.
A factory of life that is worth knowing to appreciate what it means to have the joy of living in Bogota. "
On Sundays and holidays, the main streets are closed to cars, so the space becomes exclusive to people: bikes, scooters, people walking and running, skaters and so. You can also find fresh orange juice along the way and some aerobic shows in some parts of the city; it's fun, healthy and free!
This restaurant uses contemporary French techniques to prepare classic Colombian dishes, giving them an original and very pleasant touch. I was pleasantly surprised with the place! The entrances are very rich, especially the 'buñuelitos' with a bull's tail. The best is the fish, that is delicious and fresh, and the black post is particularly recommended.
Fantastic menu, in a plate of many flavors (example carrot cream and contaduro), the rissoto of mushrooms can not be beaten, with that touch of smooth parsley. I recommend the Canasto Salad and the Sanduche Canasto. The best thing is to be able to ask for the basket and the tablecloth to make a picnic at the park in front of it.
Great rocks to climb or walk around and take pictures.
These are aligned along 2 kilometers with walls ranging from 20 meters to 130 meters high. Downstream are the Bogota River and the railway. A paradise for rock climbers, these sportsmen have opened, 400 climbing routes, which present practically all the difficulties that this difficult and exciting sport poses to its practitioners.
Jungla Kumba is a restaurant for families with small children. It is literally a man-made jungle with tables for large groups and the top floor is a play area. I would have loved to go to this place when I was a kid, and my little cousins say it is the best if you are a child, and if you are a dad you can eat something in a pleasant environment, while your children have fun.
If you like fast food with a local touch of the place you are visiting, Bogotá has been specializing in delicious and different kind of hamburguers: El Corral, Home burgers, Sierra Nevada, la Burguesería... I'd recomend you to try "El Corral Gourmet" in La Candelaria, with a terrace with a good view of the historic center.
It's a gastronomy festival that takes place in a nice park of Bogotá, with the congregation of some of the best Colombian restaurants and an invited country so you can order from them and eat in the park enjoying fresh air, music, people all around, some shows, etc. It's very popular and the money collected goes to the widows and orphans of polices death in combat.
It's a traditional train that goes to some of the countryside area close to Bogotá, while a "papayera" plays music and people sell typical food such as chocolate, tamal, almojábanas, etc. It has some stops at the main attractions: La Catedral de Sal-Zipaquirá o Mina de Nemocón y goes to Cajicá to have lunch. It's an all day activity to see not only Bogotá but the places around.
