If you go to Coyoacan and I really recommend you to go because is one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in Mexico City, home to Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Leon Trotsky, with many different options to eat from, cafes, bars and restaurants, but definitely you cannot leave without trying the "Tostadas of Coyoacan."
Tostadas are fried tortillas with different stews over, sour cream and cheese, in “Tostadas of Coyoacan” you will find tostadas made with chicken, beef, shrimps, mushrooms, fish and even mole, you won’t regret, tostadas are a delicious dish of typical Mexican food and if you have a reduced budget tostadas are the option, the prices are from $ 25 to $ 35 mexican pesos, as we say in Mexico City “Good, nice and cheap”. Be careful with the sauces because some can be really hot, but they are delicious too.
And for the thirst do not miss the beverages made of seasonal fruits or Jamaica, horchata or tamarind.
Tostadas are within the market of the same name, it is a typical Mexican market, where piñatas, candies, fruits, vegetables, Mexican toys, local craft are sold, walk around, you'll love it.
If you go on weekends probably you will find the place crowded but don’t worry the owners are always trying to find a place for you to sit down and you won’t wait more than 10 minutes.
