About this trap
The high-speed rail station is called Zuoying and sits on the northern edge of the city, not in the center. Do not book a hotel by it expecting a short walk to the sights. The Red Line metro runs from the same station to Formosa Boulevard and downtown, and ordinary trains to the central Kaohsiung Station also leave from the Xinzuoying platforms next door. Allow extra time before evening plans downtown.
