Weiwuying Metropolitan Park is a large former military site turned into an ecological park, with a lake, a children's playground and old barracks among the open grounds. It makes an easy morning walk or run away from the harbor crowds. The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts stands on its north side, so it pairs well with an evening show. Reach it on foot from Weiwuying MRT station.
