About this tip

Nyboder is a district of long yellow terraced rows built for navy families under Christian IV, with quiet cobbled streets. Start at Krokodillegade and walk the lanes in the morning, when the light is soft and the streets are empty. Navy and other service personnel still live here, so keep your voice down and do not point your camera into windows. The yellow is so typical that Danes call it Nyboder yellow.
