From December to April, dry breezes sweep the bay and cyclists fill the Cinta Costera until sunset. When the rains arrive in May, mornings stay bright and short, loud storms roll in later. By September the showers grow heavier, which makes the first dry weeks of December feel like a holiday.
Away from the towers, Casco Antiguo mixes colonial churches and rooftop bars, and the Metropolitan Natural Park keeps tropical forest inside the city. A Local Friend keeps the plan loose, so a downpour becomes a long lunch and the clear spell after it a walk.
