Office towers catch the first sun over Bonifacio Global City, and joggers circle the lawns of Bonifacio High Street. A few kilometers east, the city feels like a lakeside town. Fishermen in Tipas work the water where the river meets Laguna de Bay, and the Santa Ana church keeps watch over the Taguig River.
Between the two lie neighborhoods of basketball courts, tricycles and corner bakeries selling Tipas hopia. The weather stays warm all year, with dry months from about November to April and monsoon rain from May to October. A Local Friend knows when to reach the lakeshore early, before the heat builds, and when to linger in BGC as the towers light up after dark.
