I'm from Madrid, Spain
Adventurous documentary photography teacher based in Iceland for 9+ years. Fluent in 4 languages. I’ve chased 8 volcanic eruptions and explored the hidden side of Iceland, let me show you the magic locals live every day.
Hi! I\'m Jonas, and I\'ve been living in Iceland for over 9 years now. I speak several languages: Spanish, English, Icelandic, Galician, and I\'m currently learning Polish, so communication won’t be a problem.
I’m a documentary photography teacher and an adventurer at heart. I’ve witnessed 8 volcanic eruptions up close, and I never miss a chance to chase nature’s wildest moments.
In my free time, I’m usually out discovering new road trips or hiking routes, always with my camera by my side. I’ve explored nearly every corner of Iceland, especially those hidden gems you won’t find in the typical travel guides. With me, you’ll get to experience both the Iceland you see on social media and the Icelanders\' Iceland the real culture, everyday life, and some truly breathtaking off the beaten path locations. I drive a 4x4, which means we can easily access remote areas far beyond the main roads. Get ready to feel like a kid again, to laugh, get wet, embrace the elements, and enjoy the raw beauty of nature. I’ll also share with you the secret behind why Icelanders are considered some of the happiest people in the world. This won’t just be a trip, it’ll be a story you’ll always remember with a smile and a longing to return.
A Day with Me in Snæfellsnes.
If you would like to experience Iceland beyond the typical tourist routes, I invite you to spend a full day exploring the stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula with me.
We'll leave Reykjavík in my 4x4 vehicle and head west towards one of Iceland's most diverse and beautiful regions, often called "Iceland in Miniature" because it contains so many of the landscapes that make this country unique.
Throughout the day, we'll visit some of the peninsula's most iconic locations, including dramatic coastlines, volcanic landscapes, charming fishing villages, and spectacular mountain views. Along the way, I'll also take you to a few lesser-known places that many visitors never discover.
As a photographer and long-term resident of Iceland, I enjoy sharing not only the scenery but also stories about Icelandic culture, daily life, and the relationship Icelanders have with nature.
In the evening, we'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before ending the day in one of my favorite natural hot spring areas, far away from the crowds and surrounded by the Icelandic wilderness.
This is not a rushed tour. It's a chance to experience Iceland at a slower pace, with flexibility, conversation, and the freedom to stop whenever something catches our attention.
